Default Winter Wheel/Tire Package recommendation

Still warm enough but it won't belong before the temperatures drop. I've been looking at Tire Rack and winter packages. Up until the last week or so they had listed 16 inch packages that would fit my MY06. Now they don't have the packages listed. No 17 inch winter tires and no 16 inch wheels. I assume this is a temporary issue and that they will have packages again soon. I was looking at the Blizzak WS-60 or Michelin-X Ice. Are these overkill for Oklahoma? Occasional quite cold, more days dry road than 'wet'. Occasional snow/ice with snow turning into packed snow and ice. When should I change tires, i.e what temperatures. I drove a few times between OKC and Tulsa last winter with the temperature 32-45. Only problem was some patches of packed snow/ice on some east-west roads (near home). I don't plan on heading out into an ice storms or snow for that matter but sometimes you don't have a choice. The lower temperature is probably my biggest worry.

Any suggestions, recommendations? Thanks

I do have a Sport Edition E1 in 16" that would work fin for the winter. Run those wheels with either the Blizzak or the Dunlop Winter Sport and you will be fine. Both of these tires are performance winter tires that handlie well in the dry and wet and give you the traction in the cold and snow as well.
Just give me a call if I can help.
