Default Works vs. Volks

Jim, or anyone that can help--

Plan on lowering the car...will offsets on the CR's become too much of a problem with a lowered car? Are there other factors?

Will the offsets on the ce28n's be more "lowering friendly"?

I don't carry the wheels so if you have the specs I can let you know which would work better.

The Work CR's are 17x7ET47 and 17x8ET47. I heard these would have rubbing issues if the car was lowered, but I like them better because they are a little less expensive

The volk ce28n's are 17x7.5 ET50 and 17x9 ET63 Would the volks be less of a worry if I was going to lower the car and run 245/45/17 rear and 215/40/17 front?

the Ce's are going to be lighter, the CR kai are very heavy, comparitively. also they are cast compared to forged volks

riley

fitment wise, post both sets and sizes you wanna run w/ offsets and we can go from there

I've always like Volks more as they are the wider rim front and back, and even with the Forged Works compared to the Forged Volks they weigh the same if not the Volks might be lighter while still being the wider bigger wheel.

7" in front and 8" in the rear is not wide enough for me, I'm about to go 9" all the way around on CE28N's.

9in. width all around?? That's odd, Why such a large rim on the front? All you need is enough for 225 size tire right?

255 tire all the way around, dials out understeer , gives the car a lot more stopping power. A good portion of tracked S2000s don't run a staggered set up, and most run less stagger than what is stock. Most RWD car's out of factories today that have staggered tire sizes, are done so, so that the car has a bigger tendancy to understeer, making them "safer" for novice drivers. I'm looking to make the handling more neutral and predictable.
