The Work CR's are 17x7ET47 and 17x8ET47. I heard these would have rubbing issues if the car was lowered, but I like them better because they are a little less expensive

The volk ce28n's are 17x7.5 ET50 and 17x9 ET63 Would the volks be less of a worry if I was going to lower the car and run 245/45/17 rear and 215/40/17 front?
The rear Works will rub in this offset it is too low! I know from experience
The Volks will be spot on see my sig!

I ran 245/40-17 on 17x8 ET 42 and didn't rub, as well as the same size tire on one with ET 48, no rubbing. You will rub with 245/45's even with 48 offset. Btw, I have the Euro spec alignments (increased rear camber, vs. US spec).

The offset is only one of the factors you need to think about when determining whether you will rub or not - camber, tire size, rim width (since it affects tire section width), tire manufacturer (no standard in sizing among different manufacturers), and I think that's it.
