Default Would my car look classy if I make this change...?

I have SBC RPF1's and I LOVE the way the car looks, but obviously completely too played out. I got some wheels refinished way back last year, but still have not put them on. Now, I am thinking of redoing that finish to a black face, Suzuka Blue lip combo. Will it be as classy as the set up now, or will it look too tunery or ghetto? Your opinion please. I'm not going with the current colors on those wheels because that WILL be too tunery.

The blue wheels will be redone to black centers/Suzuka lips, and I would pull the tape off the windshield to have a Suzuka frame.

And I know "Do what you want, ect" BUT I want wheels other than RPF1's BUT I do not want to sacrifice the class I feel my car has. I have an Evo X as well, and a different demo appreciates the S2K as compared to the Evo, and I'd like to keep it that way. But on the other hand I want to be out of RPF1's got zero love at IA last year because I was simply another of the 983638 S2K's on RPF1's. And I was literally next to an almost twin in line to get in (A Suzuka AP2 with sqaure SBC RPF1's). I feel the only way to keep RPF1's AND not be a sheep, is to also do something like RHD with a LS1 swap, and never drive with a hood on LOL.

Looks good as is, don't change a thing! Less is more. Keep it clean, keep it simple. If you want to do something different and classy, be on the look out for some Wedssports or Volks.

Thanks. The only way I will keep these wheels is literally if I do an LS swap with RHD, which is actually a thought. LOL. I also refuse to buy Volks Work, ect in S2K fitment, they all look horrible with the kinds of offset needed on these cars for that kind of money. CE28's and Meister's are my favorite wheels, and bubbleface Miester that fit S2K are terrible. LOL, and straight/convex CE28 or TE37 are bad too. My replacements have lips and are staggered which will keep some aggression.

The Volks on my old PRELUDE, would be too aggresive for an S2K, and at + 38 that's about as 'weak' of a face as I will accept.

Just take off the windshield tape and you'll be golden.

Zero love at IA? Who cares?

LS swap and RHD? Why?

I can't believe people still take car shows seriously.

Your car looks good as is. I'd just enjoy it and go on with my life. Then again...with my car, I only do anything that I do to please ME. Idgaf "love at IA".

As far as "love at IA" I mean, what's the purpose if you dont have something people will take pics of? I still do what pleases me; you dont see stretched tires and camber or a big wing? Thats the recipe for "IA love" but I mean something that can be appreciated if I spend my time/money/effort going to said show. Theres dudes that drive hours (my trip to KY IA is 30 mintes) in Civics that look like shit worse than my beater. I wouldnt bother if I were those guys.

As far as RHD, why not...I did RHD to the Prelude above, because you dont see those all the time...same with S2K, also, a way to stand out amongst all the kitted big wing overfender wannabe race cars in the S2K world, and keep a stock body.

LS swap. Because I want power in my S2K, and I want REAL power, WITHOUT a turbo. I feel at 450-500 WHP with an LS, I will be able to trust that thing as much as I can trust it with my bolt-on F20. To reach those numbers on the F20 I will need boost, and it will also make the not reliable as well. I do not trust turbo cars especially ones that are converted to turbo. And I also have an Evo X which I'm shooting for 550WHP, I wouldnt want two 2.0 liter turbo 4 untrustworthy cars with the same characteristics. LS is a different means to that end, and as a side note it will sound absolutely sick, which a turbo 4 does not due to being muffled by the turbo system.

Well...I think a black wheel or any colour wheel with a suzuka lip is going to look terrible.

I guess I don't understand why you wouldn't just buy a different wheel that makes the car stand out. It seems as if you want it to stand out.

There are plenty of people using agressive/concaved sizing on modified stock fenders.

The cars that get the most "props" at car shows are the ones that have the biggest stretched tires and the most ridiculous camber.

Take your car to an autocross or track, that's where the S2000 belongs.
