Would it be ok to run 215/55-16 & 245/45-16? In the Avon Tech M500... This would keep the stagger a little closer to stock difference. The stock difference is 1.4" and these would be 1.2" Looking for a new set of tires and these look like they may be the ticket

 

How close are the Outside Diameters on those 2 sizes? If they are close then I'd say you are OK.

 

The 215s are 25.2" and the 245s are 24.6", what do you think?

 

I think you'd be OK. Hopefully someone who is actually running them will post up about them, I know someone was commenting on the Avons not long ago... maybe try a search?

I've never run the 500s - the 550's kick a$$ in bad weather, though - I've had them on my car for one WTD and 15k miles

 

I did autox one season on the old 03 Hoosiers with the 215/40 fronts, just for super-quick turn in. They were good until corner exit
