Default WRX Question

Will 17x7 with a 40+ offset fit my WRX alright. I know the recommended offset is 48+ for a 7" wide wheel, I know the wheel will bolt up and my tires are the correct size but I just wanted to know what kind of effect having the wrong offset would have on my car. Thanks.

The 40 mm offset is too low for the car. You need closer to 48 to 52. We have a lot of wheels listed for the car on our web site.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you
