Default XXR 525

Hey guys I was looking into buying some new rims I wanted the XXR 525, so they come in 17x7 and 18x8.5 and as we all know the stock rims are 17x7 in the front and 17x7.5 in the back my question was would it be better to do 17x7 in the front and 18x8.5 in the back or all 18x8.5. I didnt want to lose any handling I really like how they look other wise I would just say screw it and move on. Also if I went to all 18x8.5 and got 235/40 in the front and 255/40 in the back would I be ok clearance wise. I thought I would be, the rims are offset +42 for the 18" and +40 for the 17" any help would be awesome.
Thanks Craig

You can run a double stagger setup if you want, as long as you choose proper size tires to go with it. I wouldnt go to a 40 series on an 18, definitely stick to a 35. Also what type of look are you going for? Want to fill out the wheel well or keep it stock looking (sunk in)?

Edit:

On the 18x8.5 +42 rear with a 255/35/18 you may need to roll the fenders to prevent rubbing. That would be your only concern.

Also are you on stock suspension or lowered?

I am on stock suspension atm and thanks, I would like to fill out the wheel well a little more I know it would look better being lowered that's my next step after rims.
