Default Yokohama S Drives

Had a set of S Dives installed today and so far so good. The ride seems alot softer than the S02's due to the depth of tread but they handle very well. Not a bad tire for $100/ea. Hope they last longer than the s02's.

I was thinking of getting a set - they seem to have great tread life compared to many other tires for the S and without compromising grip too much.

Let us know in a few days how your liking them.

What size did you get for $100.00 each?

I put them on my gf's MX-5 for autox (novice) and they are actually very sufficient tires. I was very impressed.

As long as you are not expecting track like handling they are a good value. They should last a little longer than the stock tires. We also have a 40.00 mail in rebate right now.
If I can help with the tires let me know.

After 100 miles I have come to the conclusion that the S Drives are a quiet, high grip tire that don't feel quite as sharp at the limits as the S02's. I don't usually drive my car at the limits so this is not that big of a deal to me. I want wet traction and longevity over all else.

With installation the tires ran me $248.50 for the rears, 225/50/16". I work at a Honda dealer so I got the employee discount.

I have S drives on my 18s, 225/255. 20K miles now... still a LOT of tread life left - not bad for a few autocrosses and quite a few 'spirited drives'.

The S Drives were great when I got caught in a downpour today. Absolutely no hydroplaning. The car remained firmy planted to the road at 65mph. I highly recommend these tires if wet traction is high on your list.

Filled up with gas today, the first fill up since installing the S Drives. I got 31mpg, up from the normal 27-28. Highway driving accounted for most of the gas used as we took a 200 mile road trip.
