im thinking of running slightly skinnier tires because i want to lower my car more and i dont wanna roll my fenders... i only need the rear tires to just go in by about .30 inch then i will clear incase i dont hit a big bump..

could i run

205/45/17 fronts
225/40/17 rear

or

205/50/17
225/45/17

which would be a better choice

thanks

The best size is the 205/50R17 and 225/45R17. They are the same diameter as the original equipment tires. If I can help with the tires let me know.
