Front tire replacement advice needed
Hey guys, I have been debating for a few weeks on what tires to replace my front V12's with. So the situation is, I have pretty new v12's 255/40/17 installed in the back, 3 months of daily driving and one track day. It does not show much wear "I'm probably a slow driver ". My fronts are nearly gone, I really don't want to go back to the V12's, I am interested in something with a MANLY side wall that doesn't bend over backwards at every hard corner. Yet I do not want to throw away the rears because they have plenty of life left...80% give or take.
Keeping different front and rear tires are not recommended, so worst comes I would replace all 4 but that's a waste of new tires.. First idea is to get the Potenza 760 Sport, it has about the same grip but stiff sidewalls and rated at 300 life. For some reason the 760 Sport is as expensive as the StarSpecs. Federals 595RSR is cheap and has awesome grip, but I'm not sure on this one. Star Specs is totally on one end of the spectrum, I don't mind picking these up but I am asking for inputs on these with my V12's still on the rear. I would love to pick up the OEM Potenza 050 but they are a rip off.
Reason why I threw in 300 tread life along with StarSpec category is because I drive 80 miles a day. Tread life is a factor, but not the final word.
What do I do?!
BTW I live in Sunny Cali, I believe my rim size is OEM spec... 215/45 front currently and 255/40 rear.

Toyo proxis make the V12 seem like a stiff sidewall. Stay away from that overpriced crap. Just sell the v12 used to someone in the club or trade in at your local tire store. Then step up and get what you want all the way around.
