Here is one vote against oversized tires. I drive on the street, not the track. I prefer stock sizes. Especially the front tires, but the rear as well. I just sold my 225/255 tires after 500 miles. The car is more lively and fun with the oem sizes. There is no problem with loss of grip unless you are driving like a madman. In fact, althought I have a set of ap2 wheels and tires, I find I prefer my 16 inch wheels. I just bought a new set of 16 inch wheels and right now that is my plan for this car. Personally I think a lot of people who are driving only on the street take advice from folks who have a focus on track and autocross where more grip is very important and they want a bigger contact patch. I think this leads people, like me, to get in a bigger is better mentality which, in my opinion, leads folks like me in the wrong direction. I would stick with 16 or 17 inch tires with oem sized tires if you are drving on the street.
