hmmm, why not 245 up front instead of 255 at that point? 225 will look very staggered

Nothing wrong with that, it fits a looks good on the car. Plenty of people run it this way on these rims. 245 is a roll of the dice depending on the tire choice so you still need to be prepared to pull some amount. You can go for a 235, but its a more limited odd ball size. Either a larger overall diameter in a 235/45 which limits some clearance, or go with the better 235/40 option thats more limited to find.

255 x4 with 17x9 +45 on coilovers and I cannot put my finger between the tire/fender at my current height.

Fronts are rolled and slightly flared - I mean so slight that I don't even think you can call it a flare. It's the natural flare I got when rolling the fenders in the first place. Rears are just the standard roll and tab relo. Did the alignment myself at work, front camber is -2.5 (max the stock joints allow) and rears are -3.0. I have zero issues and I drive the shit out of my car. You won't be able to get as much front camber on springs vs coilovers (you get more negative camber the lower you go) but when I was on Tein springs I ran this same setup with -2.2 camber in the front and I was still fine.

My height looks weird here due to my driveway - but trust me, 255's all around is 110% doable, especially considering you'll be on springs.

thank you for the response! i've been going thru the rpf1 thread for hours, and it seems like a ton of people have 255's and the ones who didnt want a headache just went 245 in front....but that kills the whole tire rotation thing

Tire rotation How about car rotation?

Rotating tires doesn't achieve anything other then letting you buy all 4 tires at once or 2 tires at once twice as often. No money saved. Its a rwd car!

My recommendation was to save headaches based on the desire to not pull fenders. Rubbing up front is risky, its real easy to fubar your thin fenders with one incident and never have them look right again. If its not even about performance, but rather rotating tires, why push it? Just go with 245's all around then. Or go for 255's and play it buy ear. A lot of variables with front fitment with this spec. Same spec width tires can run quite a bit different in actual widths. When you get up to splitting hairs on fitment, you have to be willing to go to further lengths to make them not rub, and thats pulling at this level. fernado obviously is running a more narrow 255 and still had to pull a little bit. Driving hard and driving with a passenger into an off camber driveway and forgetting to go in at an angle with little steering angle is two different things. What level of headache do you want to live with?

Be careful. I read the posts and everything said 9" +45 fit. They did not fit for me and didn't even come close. I needed an extra 12~15mm to make them fit.

Just be prepared for the flare.

When my car was a street car I had 255 square on 17x9 plus 45 with rolled all around. Didn't pull but I also was not "tucked".

How am I running a narrower 255? They're Z2's.

Thats fine tho. Everyone can disagree with me when I have a perfectly functioning car sitting outside.
