RPF1 wheel setup & tires
Just bought my dream car: 03 AP1 S2000. I am new to s2ki and the first thing I realized is R16 tire options = sell and buy R17 wider wheels & tires...
After looking around in this forum, I am planning to buy RPF1 wheels (SBC color) but don't want to do any body mods (currently ALL stock). Below are the wheel sizes I am looking at:
Front: 17 x 7.5 + 48 (225/45/r17 tires)
Rear: 17 x 9 + 45 (255/40/r17 tires)
Is this setup ok for an ALL stock AP1 s2000 without mods? if not, what are other size options?
How do I buy the wheels through s2ki?
Thanks!

They require a fender roll especially if you lower the car. At stock height they should be ok with camber but it is still iffy. Frankly there is not a pec these come in that don't require a fender roll. For that you need the PF01's in the highest offsets.

how about front 215/45r17 and rear 245/40r17? does this still need a mod?

Plenty of good 16" tire options...
If I were going to 17s, I'd go PF01. Better looking, better offsets (+50/+60). Only I already have a set on the FD...

I will look at PF01. the offsets are better. what are the tire sizes and brand/model on your AP1? Can we run it wider than the stock size( f205/r225)

My "normal" summer tires are 205/55-16 front 225/50-16 rear Hankook RS3.
Winter tires are 205/60-16 front 225/55-16 rear Dunlop WinterSports.
On the stock 6.5/7.5 wheels, 205/55-16 and 225/50-16 are the best sizes to run, and there's good selection in those sizes. Bumping up to 245/45-16 rears the street tire selection all but evaporates, but track rubber is available in that size.
