Default Will these fit? Fenders not modified.

Looking at getting these tires so I can swap with my RX-8.
  • Size: 255/40R17 98W XL
Wheels are 17 inch. Enkei RPF1 17x9.

My car is currently lowered with Tien flex, can adjust height if need to be. Will be upgrading to Ohlins very soon.

Let me know if running these square will fit and be good for track.

Thanks,

No. If you did any searching at all you'd find this is a ver common setup for the S2000 but one that requires a fender roll and tab relocation and even a pull on the front fenders due to the 255 and this is assuming the offset is +45 not one of the lower offsets this wheel is made in. If the offset is lower the answer is still no they don't fit and making them fit gets a lot harder.

Can I run 245 or 225 square without any of the fender roll?

What offset are the wheels? Considering +45 is the highest offset them make the 17x9 in the answer is still no. Knowing the offset of your wheels will determine just how much of a no that is.

My mistake. I believe my wheel is 17x7 +40. Will getting a 225 square or 235 square setup work?

It is time to look at what you have now, go to http://www.willtheyfit.com, and use a ruler.

What? Thats totally different than what you put in your original post. You need to figure out exactly what the wheel specs are and then we can go from there.

Yeah this thread makes less sense with each post. 17x9 +45 RPF1 and 17x7 +40 RPF1 don't even look alike.

Are you tracking both cars? Regardless of width/offset, anything that works on both will be a major compromise one way or the other. If you want to swap between cars then your best option is to do the fender work required. 9" +45 with 255/40 probably would be best compromise if you had to make one.
