The 2010 MI ice climbing festival is coming this Feb on the 5th through the 7th.

Anyone want to go? I'm trying to get a sizable group this time around.

Doubt I'd be able to go anyhow, schedule is tight and I am WAY out of shape.

 

Yes. For $40, ($25 for registration, $15 for demo equipment) you gain access to about $1,000 worth of gear. Boots, crampons, ice tools, helmets, harnesses, and I think jackets to.

Free climbing is insane. At least with ice climbing, you're roped in so if you fall, you are caught. With free climbing, you fall you die.

Common . . . its not that bad! . . .

Given that chance, i'd hop all over it, Just not in the physically shape I'd want to be.
