Default Chicagans. Question about Parks

Im assisting in setting up a MidWest Honda/Acura MegaMeet. Chicago is the obvious central location for Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, etc.

So, im curious to what parks are in the suburbs that can hold, hopefully 200+ cars, a good neighbor hood, wont cost an arm and a leg to either reserve or let the park commission be aware of the meet.

Dates are TBA.

Busse Woods in Schaumburg/Rolling Meadows/Elk Grove Village.

Only problem is lately the Forest Preserve cops have been total dillweeds about allowing people (who are part of a registered and paid picnic) to be out by their cars during picnics.

Yeah, I was going to say Busse as well, but I wasn't aware of the Dilweed-dom of the Ranger Rick's lately as I don't live by there anymore.

Two other places that come to mind out in the Burbs are:

1. Fermilab in Batavia. Much of the area above the possible world-destroying Supercollider is public park.

2. Not far from that, in the Warrenville / Wheaton area, I think it's called Denada park or something like that.

fermi labs would be cool, maybe we could even have some one come out from the ground and talk to us about the collider

Also starved rock is a good place to have a big meet, I went there for a motorcycle meet, tons of bbq pits

I second (third?) Starved Rock. The road through is incredibly windy and fun, but it's also a gorgeous area. I once drove out there just for a day last summer.

Starved rock? It's cool, I wish I could've seen more of it though. I went riding there last year after dark.

By the looks of google maps, there doesnt seem to be a parking lot or a park at all....just a ton of grass and two cooling lakes.
