Default Cooper Owners

My gf recently ordered a new Mini Cooper S. During the process I mentioned that I had an s2000. They proceeded to tell me that one of the guy's JCW (john cooper works) Cooper was faster than an s2000.

So I replied with "yea, definately, our cars are awful on 60 ft times"

so then they mentioned that lighter rims could be a good purchase. They started spewing out fictional numbers "Yea mine are 13 lbs each" so I said, oh wow, are they forged? "uh yea sure". Are they 16s? "no man 17s"

blech, I really hope that we arent this bad.

Minis are quick, but they're not fast. I guess you can say that about the S2000 too, but Minis are definitely slower.

Someone was just trying to sell a car.

The JCW version is fairly cool, but it's not THAT fast. I hear they are fun to drive, but the two times I went in to get a test drive they had no cars to drive. They wanted me to make an appointment to come back for the test drive. I politely replied:

Sadly, after reading many posts on here, I think there are many S2000 owners who are that bad, or dumb.

My friend has a Works Cooper, the car is super fun. Easy to drive, nice handling. But it's not a car that I was overly impressed by it's performance.

My brother-in-law wanted one, but he got an Eclipse. I really wanted to get a ride or drive in a Cooper, out of curiosity. But I'd really rather have a REAL Mini.
