a friend of mine who works in construction managed to SHOOT HIMSELF IN THE CHEST with a nailgun!

The 5 inch nail punctured his lung and small intestine and his chest cavity filled with air

Apparently he didnt feel a thing pulled the nail out and went back to work.

A co-worker took him to the ER when he started complaining that his arms were going numb

Anyway, it was looking really bad for a long time, but he is out of surgery and *supposedly* going to make a recovery - although not sure to what extent yet

anyway, crazy weekend - im beginning to think im jinxed what with all the sh!t that has happened to me/around me lately.

Definately looking forward to 2006 - new year and hopefully better luck!

i'm sorry i'm excited by medical injuries. i stayed in and watched "Scrubs Second Season" on DVD the ENTIRE friggin weekend.

 

he was overstretching on a ladder and the ladder slipped. He fell with it and his trigger finger got trigger happy i guess - the gun was pointing straight at him

lucky is wasnt an automatic i guess

 

It's actually pretty common, but you usually shoot yourself through the hand or foot.

 

I can't believe he pulled it out and kept going! That's a dedicated company-man.

 

I always pull out and keep going...
