Unfortunately, it may only be a matter of time until they are everywhere.
Gradual chipping away... OBD3, photo radar, DUI/seatbelt checkpoints, etc...

It has worked for me the last 2-1/2 years
I've often wondered about the effectiveness of this type of device. You say it has worked for you. Have you sped past a known radar checkpoint and been safe from it?

I can vouch for the effectiveness of this particular type and brand. My first use ever was in the Netherlands 3 years ago on my rental car. My friend there let me borrow his cover from his X5 as he had just been ticketed for having the shield! Anyway, having accumulated several more than spirited miles during my stay , going from Amsterdam to Rotterdam, the Hague, Venlo and on to Bonn Germany, I have yet to receive an in the mail ticket from the friendly folks at the Dutch "Rijks Politie" after 3 years With this experience, I am certain that the US used cams are not by anymeans more sophisticated that would enable them to reduce the effectiveness of this shield (for now).

It is a well known fact that traffic cameras with radar trap-cam are widely spread in the Netherlands, even tourists in rental cars, not obeying the limits have been known to receive a follow-up mailing to their respective out of state address with a little "souvenir".

BTW- I do agree that caution should be exercised along with speed limit when going through construction areas and not to mention that I forgot that you guys in IL have front plates. So 2 times $25 to $30...
