I remember when bikes were made to last. I don't know how many times I got off my bike by jumping off it and letting it coast for 20 more feet before crashing on the sidewalk or lawn or wherever else it ended up. The thing just didn't give up the ghost.

Now try that and bits of plastic fly everywhere.

Granted my bike probably weighed 200 Ibs but hey kids need the excerise anyway.

 

There's something to be said for iron frames and 48 spoke wheels.
