my bad about the chinese. it's simplified Chink used by commies. for a second i thought it was Kanji, hence Japanese. rabbit stew can be had in a few restaurants in chinatown (think Spring World, Mandarin Kitchen) and Lao Sze Chuan even serves a dish called "strange flavor rabbit"...
