is it just me or is it every time i step out the door i see a saturn sky or a pontiac soltice? those things are like cavaliers. they're everywhere! i even saw a soltice with a "for sale" sign on it at the mall. and the booty on the soltice is just nasty!

I saw a solstice about 6 mos ago that had a complete body kit on it and some wheels. I couldn't belive how fast kits for that car came out.

I really like the sky. It's no S2000 of course, but it still beats the shiznit out of a miata.

 

even the GXP and redline that are coming out cant touch the S in performance

 

Really ? What aspects of the performance are you alluding to ?

The 0-60 times are almost identical or the Redline is a few tenths faster. But that really depends on the driver when you get down to it.

I'd assume the S has better handling.

My folks had a pre-production Soltice (non-boosted) back in March time frame and it seemed like a fun car to drive. Like the previous post, not as good as the S but better than the Miata.

The roof mechanism was a bit iffy but it was pre-production so it may be smoother now.

I hate on the back how the top doesnt stretch out, it looks like a scrunchie.

 

i do agree that the saturn is the much better looking of the 2 cars

I've seen a few of the Pontiacs around. They'll have their niche, like the Fiero did. Then in about six years, it'll go out of production.
