Default Mechanical aptitude test

http://www.forddoctorsdts.com/quizze...alAptitude.php

I got a 90%, but two friends that work in engineering got 76 and 88%, which kinda freaks me out as I'd trust either of them to work on my race bike...

I took it before, but didn't get a good score. I miscalculated how gear ratios work so I missed a LOT of the early questions, even though I understand the concepts, I just got the numbers wrong.

Had my dad take it last night. After a lifelong career as a machinist he came away with an 86. We went back question by question and some of the answers provided by Ford were clearly suspect - the one at the end about what causes an intake charge to enter a 4 cyl engine - their answer was "atmospheric pressure" instead of "vaccuum caused by the piston drawing down".

I agree that one was suspect. Technically, BOTH are correct (or neither, since you need both.)

But, what do you expect from Ford after all.

yea that last one was wierd.

I got a 86% and thats pretty sweet for me.

I didnt go back and check this one but maybe you guys could answer it for me. The one with the pipe that gets narrow and there are two pipes coming off of it. Pipe A and B which one will fill up faster? I took a guess and put B but I didnt understand the concept behind it.

I chose B. Which means the answer is A.
