This might be it.
Quick background:
Im currently with US Bank and trying to get approved for an auto loan is as impossible to get approved for a 3k personal loan through them. I got sick of their shit and decided to check out a local credit union.
Walked into the Post Office Credit Union. Sat down and talked to a rep and we proceeded to check my credit. Shorthand, Once i bring in my pay stubs from my two current jobs, I basically have a 10k auto loan. About damn time.
---------------------------
After a bit of searching, I came across this listed on Autotrader.
2001 Spa 81k asking $10,995.
Their website has a video walk around, shitty quality but shows enough. Guy giving the walk around seems honest enough. Points out the rear window scratches, a ding on the right quarter, front bumper repairs, left side quarter ding, soft top tear. During the video, you can see a fender leaning against the wall that looks the same as an S2000 fender. -.^
I email the guy and got the following response:
"There is nothing to hide. The car went through a ditch or something and it has 18 inch wheels. The wheels came up and damaged the fender and the rear quarter slightly. Fender was replaced and the dent was popped out with a slight very slight dent left. Fender and quarter panel were re-sprayed. Straight car no frame damage clear title. Priced right. Larry"
Seems fine to me, makes sense, should have frame damage. Let me know what you think, Im going to start at 9k, and work my way up. Wont go for more than 10,500 considering it needs a top down the line.

Will be heading up in 2 weeks or so to take a test drive.

If I were going to buy an S2k in that price range, I'd start looking down south. You're going to be looking at cars with over 70k miles - less time in salt the better.
For example, you could fly to Knoxville and pick this up: http://knoxville.craigslist.org/ctd/1038183233.html
Then take it's first drive on the dragon
