Official I Don't Wanna Work Thread XV
Howard Cooper Porsche in Ann Arbor opened up every car for me and offered to let me drive, but it was rainy so I declined. Couple days later I got the Mercedes.

The lease on the Boxster is killing me. I bit off more than I can chew. I am not having a good year, however, when the lease is up it is going to be hard to not want to just keep it. Love this car.
I tried getting one back in 99, but went Lexus instead, I often wonder what I would have now if I did get that Boxster back then. I don't think I would have bought the Honda, so for that I am grateful.
I got involved with s2ki because my dad back in '00 started talking about the s2000 (his best friend works for Honda back in the motherland and had kept saying if you don't buy an NSX, but an S2000)... so in '01 he did...and then started travelling a lot for work... so I took it... and then found s2ki.... and, well, the rest is history... I'm on my third now....and I honestly think this car will always be in my garage... I can't imagine ever getting rid of it... maybe I'll add another car in the garage, but I don't see myself ever selling it

I REALLY want to test drive a Cayman R and a Boxster Spyder, but I don't see a dealership taking me seriously, and I'd probably regret it afterwards anyway.

I'll go there with you, but something tells me they'll pay more attention to me

that's because they will be like... hmmmm.. is this car for you sir or your son...

Don't cry when I bitch slap you in a few weeks.
I did test drive a Boxster in 2006 right before buying my S2000. Of all the cars I test drove (like 10 cars) the Boxster and the S2000 were a close 1-2 in my book. I just couldn't justify the extra cost for what I felt was the very slightly nicer car. On paper a 2006 Boxster base and an S2000 were very close (i.e., same power and weight); but the Boxster was like 13-15 grand more; it just wasn't worth it. If I really thought the Porsche was alot better, I would have waited a few more months and saved up some more cash. I had no problems going for a nice long solo test drive in a Porsche because I saw the same guy that sold me my Audi.
I've never been to the Honda side. I've had a good experience at the Audi & Porsche side though.
Maybe they just treat college students with CRX's like crap. They were total douche bags, but now I'm going back over ten years ago too. Hopefully, they've gotten their act together.
