I used to use Napster back in the late 90's when nobody knew about it - I stay away from that stuff now though - no trust in it. Newsgroups probably are still good to go, but you need a good newsreader program, virus protection (if the files are .rar'ed or zipped) & you are subject to what is currently posted...

i just pick and choose songs, never bulk download or zips or anything. haven't had a problem. my downloading is minimal.

majority of CD's ripped and sold


Amazon is also good

iTunes has no DRM tags if it is under iTunes PLUS.
