Don't mod the car until it's paid for. If you have extra $$$ burning a hole in your pocket you should:

A. Pay it toward the car loan
B. Pay off other debt
C. Invest it
D. Give it to me
...
Z. Mod the car

 

Just because I asked for everyone's opinion doesn't mean I value it.

 

Don't worry, I'm not itching to do any of this soon, I just want to get my preliminary plan for the car so when it comes time to "Z", I know what I want to do and can do it properly.

 

Item A on my agenda is to sell the MINI. Since I'm penalized (albeit not much if I do it right) for paying off the loan early, and I'll get more credit by dragging it out, I plan to pay off ALMOST all of it with that to bring my monthly payments down to near nothing.

 

This is the way this bank works (They modify your future monthly payments based on anything you pay above your monthly payment)

 

I do still need to get and install an Aux-in adapter, as that is quite cheap but infinitely valuable to me.
