I disagree, you miss too much watching it on such a small screen, i'd rather wait to watch something at home.

However, when it comes to the classics, that I have seen a million times, and I just want to avoid being bored, it doesn't really matter how small the image is. To that extent, I agree with Garrison and Pete.
On a somewhat related note. I'm thinking about buying an ipod touch (i do not have an iphone or ipad), has anyone tried to use VOIP with an ipod touch? Does it work? It would not be a replacement for a phone, I'm just curious more than anything.
I will say that these days alot more laptops have HD or equivalent resolution, framerate, etc. (which is why my exclusion list begins with netbook); and, yes, you can add some quality headphones and create a pretty damn good movie viewing experience. So, yeah, I would draw the line somewhere between laptop and netbook for an acceptable first run experience.
Well, we may be splitting hairs here, but for the sake of friendly argument. To me, there's a pretty significant difference between a circa-2002 Dell Inspiron 8200 15" at 1400x1050, and a circa-2009 Asus EeePC 1005HA 10.1" at 1024x600 (I know because I have both at home).
They say you can't distinguish 1080p from 720p on anything less than a 32" screen. So 600 lines on a 10" screen should be pretty good.
Although, I will grant you the 15" screen would be much better to watch than the 10" screen.
Maybe Chris just needs glasses.
