Default Taste of Chicago

I'm planning on going but have not picked a day/date yet.

I'm taking the Metra and leaving the DD on the parking lot.

Anyboby else?

An alternative would be to hang somewhere and get wasted, but i doubt you'd work around my sched and accomodate me .

BIYATCH'S!!!!

when was the last time you were there? out of all the street festivals/events i went to last year, the taste of chicago was by far the worst. the neighborhood ones are better in my opinion. i hope they have more oysters at this year's guinness oysterfest

I haven't been in a couple of years. It's too crowded and usually too damn hot.

The only thing that would allow my desires to be there...are the ginormous turkey legs they've got. Other than that, the Taste is an awful event...the weather gets wayyy to hot and humid....there's way too many folks....and its wayyyy too unsanitary.

+1

super expensive food, just as crappy environment. neck to neck with sweaty (sometimes shirtless and obese) dudes... nasty crap all over the ground, fighting in line w/ tourists..

it's a once in a life time thing, ie, you'll try it once, and never wanna go back again.

<edit> o yah, and what ap1chick said... turkey leg.. yummm!!! last 2 yrs i "borrowed" left over tickets from friends, jumped out of the car, ran to the turkey leg stand, and got back into the getaway car... </edit>
