Yesterday I traded in my Z06 on a 2002 GMC Yukon. I didn't want to, but I had to. Financial circumstances outside of my control put me into a tough spot and this was one of the steps I needed to take to get out of it.
The Z06 has treated me VERY well for the last 2 years. She served as my daily driver from about March to about November. She was also my track car.
She will be sorely missed.
In addition to the S2000 I also have a 1997 Trans Am. I will be turning the Trans Am into a fully-prepped track car over the next couple of years. Due to the high mileage of the car and the nature of track events I wanted to ensure I have a way to get the car home. That lead me to look at full size trucks and SUVs. I prefer to have four REAL doors in case I need to carry passengers. Here is what I ended up with:
2002 GMC Yukon. 4x4, three rows of seating, cloth interior. Really just the basics with very few options, but it is well equipped.
The third row of seats:
Passenger compartment:
Engine Bay:
This will be GREAT for the next camping trip, and will make a very nice tow vehicle. It will also make a better winter car than the Trans Am did, so that will be VERY nice too.
I encourage EVERYONE to head over to Woodfield Chevrolet in Schaumburg and take the Z06 out for a test drive.
