I know what it is, but I have a hard time understanding what I would use it for.

The Windy City sub-forum here seems to do for me what Twitter does for others. Of course most of my friends already have S2ki accounts, and the ones that don't wouldn't get a twitter account either.

well its a great way to let people know what your doing and now they have some GPS support for the iphone, they have a great iphone app.

P.S. I got my iphone 3g, i love it! well cept for when it lags then i get pissed...

I can browse S2ki on my iPhone, and the 1.1v of the Facebook app is REALLY good. The Myspace app is decent too.

I don't know very many people using twitter, so I don't see the value. It just seems like one more service to check/manage.

got mine yesterday yall!

I've been playing with it for about 7 hours in total now. sinc'ing, informing friends my new number, organizing my calendar and contacts, etc.

I love this phone!

I know there was an app called swirly MMS that enabled pictures to be sent through texts on the iPhone but I'm not able to find it anymore.

Does anyone know of an app that supports this feature?

None of the "official" iPhone apps support MMS. I believe the policy set by Apple prevents it. The app you are thinking of is probably a "hack" and would require you to jailbreak the iPhone to make it work.

That said, let's start a new iPhone thread so we aren't ing up the Twitter thread.
