Speed should show racing, not soccer, I agree with you 100%

I thought it was particularly funny that Button called Kobyashi's move "special"

Awesome British understated sarcasm

haha for sure. it was like, he played pinball down the braking zone. looked pretty funny.

What do you think of this drama the commentators are playing up about no engines left for McLaren for the rest of the year? I'm not sure I really understand, is it something where they can take an extra one and just deal with a grid penalty for one race? Or is the penalty steeper?

Can't remember, but I think it's a 10 spot grid penalty. Question is; does this apply to each race you use an engine from out of the original supply, or just the first time?

It'd be interesting to see how that works... depending on how the power decreases as these engines run through their useful lifespans though, there could be some tactical advantage to pulling a new one out of the warehouse for the last few races if everybody else is on powerplants that are making less power, even if you have to deal with a 10 spot grid penalty for one race. Like if you're running at 110% of everyone else's diminished 100%, it would seem that you could run a race weekend out front, no? Can motors only be swapped between race weekends, or can they do that in between qualifying and race day?

Austin will be a power track and so is Brazil. They can keep putting in old motors, but at some point it may be better to bite the bullet and make the change. That means probably put a new one in for Abu Dhabi.

Here's what Bernie has to say about it...

Sounds to me like a one-race penalty. It'll be interesting to see how the strategy plays out.

So regardless of what you think of his shenanigans, this is pretty awesome:

I don't discount his driving ability a bit, I think he gets a little too excited at the start of the race.
