Default VACATION

Hi I am Geoff from so cal region

I really want to visit Chicago soon, not sure how i should plan my vacation. I was wondering if you guys can help me out. Is summer or winter a better season to go. Whats the best way for transportation around the city.

Where a good location to stay at in Chicago?

Also any other information about sight seeing or foods would be good

Don't know much about Chicago, But Either Fall or Summer.

Winter can be beautiful, if there isn't a blizzard. But with cars, you got sludge, and chicago has a LOT of cars.......

Never come here during the winter, you'll kill yourself.

Taxi's

Location well, how much money do you want to spend?

Tons of food to get, tons of things to do, all depends on your style. Perhaps a bit more info on what kinda things you think you might want to do, otherwise there are all the touristy things.

i guess ill have a full year to prepare for this trip, either next summer or spring. I dont want to spend too much, still on a student budget.

I like to sight see, try out hot spot foods. for night life, not into clubbings, but bars and lounges are nice.

too many interesting things to do in the summer in chicago. musueams, planetaruim, aquarium, zoo, food(good food), sears tower glass balcony, milenium park, concerts in grant park, lake front people watching, nightlife( clubs, gents clubs), wriggley field (for baseball fans), michigan ave. shopping, broadway shows, blueman group, gang fights (if you're into that kinda stuff), city tours, boat tours, architecture tours, segway tours, bribe a politician and become a senator

is the city still gonna do the wednesdays and friday fireworks show at navy peir this year? i heard that they cut that in the budget cuts.

it was awsome to cruise up and down lake shore on sat night and stop on the shoulder on the bridge over the chicago river. just drop the top and watch the show from your car.

Just look out for the FIB's....

Chicago is a great town during the summer, I echo Zgradis' statement that it is suicide-inducing during the winter months. Let us know when you're going to be in town and I'm sure we can throw something together to welcome you.

Cheers
Charlie
