Sooo I am putting my snow tires on Monday or Tuesday, getting ready for the reality its almost December... So here is how this works, if you somehow hurt one of your cars (or yourself if you really want) you give a point to winter if you make it through a day without damaging anything or scaring the crap out of yourself you give s2ki.com a point. You don't have to put if something bad happens you can just give winter a point, but its got to be a fair fight, and you can only give one point a day to each side and no more than 5 points can be added s2ki's side, however there is no limit to winters side. Pictures and videos are a bonus point (but only 5 points total can be added to each side per shitty winter day for videos/pictures).

Sliding out of control (not on purpose): 1 pt for winter
Sliding into a snowbank: 1 pt for winter
Putting a car away for winter: 1 pt for winter
Slight fender-bender/broken part with small/easy repair: 2 pts for winter
A little more serious collision but car still drivable/shop-time needed repair (less than one day): 3 pts for winter
Tow-truck-inducing collision/shop-time needed repair (more than one day): 4 pts for winter
Totaled: 5 pts for winter

I think the 5 points for each side per day (which I'm assuming means for everyone) may be a bit of an unfair rule, since I imagine there may be many stories all on one day of really bad storms... and for those days, Winter or s2ki may deserve all the points they get.

Either way, I like the idea, and I look forward to pwning winter with my FWD awesomesauce.

 

So its open to change, but its 5 per side per day, but if its a shitty day and you don't crash or break your car s2ki gets a point! Each person can only put in one point per day.

least you have TC I didn't have blizzaks on my rwd mercedes and i was fine because anytime i'd almost loose crazy control it the tc would kick in and save me...

I think this is a fun idea but I also think that the terms of the battle give a distinct advantage to S2KI... even if there are only 5 points per day we're going to rack up a helluvalotta points and I kinda doubt that enough people are going to 'wreck or break' their rides (hope I'm not jinxing myself here)... we may want to come up with a 'severity of wreck/break' points scale to even the odds a little bit. I propose:

Looks like Friday might be the first chance of winter weather for us. Lake effect snow predicted, and we always seem to get bad weather whenever we visit Bre's family on a winter holiday (which we are doing on Friday). Winter tires are already on both my Audi and Bre's Acura. Drove my S to work this morning because I don't think there are very many more opportunities to drive it before winter comes.

I haven't had any winter incidents for quite a long time; so, I should be adding my fair share of points to s2ki.com.
