First things first, lift the wiper blade. For the example, I'm using the shorter driver-side arm but the longer arm is the same. You do not have to remove the assembly to take off the rubber insert.

If you look, you'll see the inboard-most tab (or the outboard-most tab on the passenger-side arm) locks into place into the rubber insert.

To remove the blade, pull the wiper insert down like so and pull the blade out. It'll take a bit of force but you'll get it out.

Once it's free, slide the thing out.

When you get to the last one, there is a tab that will stop it from releasing.

Inside the old wiper, there are two metal strips. These strips give the blade tension. You will be swapping them into the new insert.

You will want to stick it into the top groove. It's pretty easy to do.

The strips are mirrored so you can't really mix them up, but I made sure to put them on the same side. Just make sure the cut-out/indent is facing inward as it locks into the new wiper insert.

When you get to the end, stretch the wiper insert so that the metal tab fully seats into the slot. At this point, it should be locked in and will not fall out.

Begin to slide the arm back through the tabs. Make sure you get them through all the tabs. Take your time.

When you get to the end, all you need to do is push a bit and the final tab will lock into the hole.

Once it's locked in, you're good. Put the blade back down and do the other side.
