This gearhead couple shares a love for speed and cool cars.

Husband and Wife Racing Duo Own a Cool S2000

Fateful Meeting

In most cases, couples don't tend to share the same love for certain hobbies, including racing. However, there are some couples out there that share a love for motorsports and competing in various types of racing, and that includes Omaha couple Tiffany and Justin Kelly, who actually met when the two rolled into the same gas station, both on motorcycles. As the married duo explained to QC Times recently, that meeting of fate turned into a lifelong long affair with a variety of vehicles - including this sweet S2000.

Learning Curve

At first, the couple started out like most of us - by racing go-karts. "He got me into racing karts, and we've been racing together the last seven years," Tiffany said. "He started when he was seven years old, so he has more of a background in karts. He's the one who helps me with everything. I'm definitely more comfortable (racing karts), but I still say you can learn something new each time."

Car Racing

Of course, the couple doesn't just race karts, as they own a variety of cool cars, too, including this S2000 and a Scion FRS. Most recently, they competed in the King of the Streets shifter class event at the Rock Island Grand Prix, a challenging street course that saw Justin and Tiffany finish eighth and ninth, respectively.

Hooked on Karts

"We're trying to get to grips with the track," Justin said. "It's very difficult. One little mistake, and you're in the barrier." "Of course, we're into the shifter class, which is the pinnacle of karting," Tiffany Kelly added. "We still have our cars, but now we've switched over to this," Justin said. "We've gotten kind of hooked on it, and it's going well."

Package Deal

One constant, no matter what sort of racing they're doing, is that the Kellys do it all together in a collaborative effort. "I wouldn't do this by myself," Justin said. "Her and I will travel together, no matter how far we have to go." "For me, I only race because he's racing," Tiffany said. "We come as a package deal. It's always been that way."

Standing Out

"We definitely stand out," Tiffany added. "We've met a few couples at races, but usually when the man races, the wife is super-supportive, or when the woman races, the husband is super-supportive."

True Love

To us, aside from the fact that you don't see many racing couples out there, the fact that these two compete in an S2000 is also quite notable. In fact, Tiffany also daily drives another S2000, proving that even though the two are dabbling in karts, we know where her true love lies.
