Low-Mile Laguna Blue Pearl S2000 Is a Shining Example of an AP2

Sweet Flip

Lately, it seems like low-mile Honda S2000s are coming out of the woodwork. And you can thank skyrocketing values for that. Many of these cars, including this particular Laguna Blue AP2 we spotted at Bring a Trailer, are what you might call a flip, too. But oh, what a sweet flip it is.

Seeing Dollar Signs

This is essentially a one-owner car, having been bought new by the original owner in 2007 and kept in their possession until 2019. Thus, we're guessing the second owner recognized a deal and some potential profit when they saw it.

Blue Beauty

Regardless, there are plenty of things to like about this particular AP2. For starters, that beautiful Laguna Blue Pearl paint. It still shines like new, which shouldn't be a surprise given how little the car's been driven.

Making Additions

The seller did add a few things to the car after picking it up. Namely, a dealer-installed rear spoiler, front spoiler, and side skirts, all of which were color-matched to the car, obviously.

Making It Perfect

They also went to the trouble of performing a paintless dent removal and a full paint correction to make this car as perfect as possible. The factory wheels do show a bit of curb rash, however, that could possibly be fixed by a reputable shop.

Mostly Stock

The black leather interior is likewise in great shape, though the factory radio was replaced with a JVC head unit at some point. But it is fully functional with the Honda controls, and the original radio was included with the sale.

Maintaining

The (re)seller only added 400 miles to the car over their three months of ownership, but it does appear that all the typical maintenance is up to date.

Flawless Engine Bay

Like the rest of the car, the engine bay has obviously been detailed. But in all fairness, hiding things like excessive wear isn't exactly easy here, and this bay looks flawless.

Little Work Needed

With no hidden gremlins or accidents to report, this AP2 certainly looks like a solid survivor. All the new owner presumably needs to do is fix or replace the wheels and they're in business.

Investment or Enjoyment?

Whether that new owner is a fan who wanted a nice S2000 or just an investor who's going to sit on it a while and then flip it again, nobody knows. But we certainly hope it's the former because there are far too many low-mile cars out there in the world right now!
