Mode Parfume's Multi-Piece Hardtop Kit for the S2000
A new body kit for an older car is always nice since owners can give their loved vehicle a whole new presence.
New love
From the 2019 Osaka Auto Messe, Japan's giant automotive custom product show, Mode Parfume debuted the new hardtop design for the S2000. Back during SEMA 2017, the last iteration of the kit appeared on the show floor and blew everyone away for the use of aero on the widened proportions. That kit went on to be known as Mode Parfume's Phantom GA-MU kit produced by Blow Design.

Becoming a major player
OAM is now in its 23rd year and is pretty much the Japanese version of SEMA for anyone trying to sum up the types of vehicles that can be found. The show runs for 3 days with each year growing more crowded than the last. One of the great things about OAM is if you get tired of the crowds then you can check out all of the cars in the various parking lots and garages nearby Intex Osaka of the show-goers.

Looking real good
When Mode Parfume went about designing their hardtop they took inspiration from all of the various models by other outfits and then tweaked it. That endeavor produced a multi-piece hardtop that gives roadster owners a whole new look for their aging S2000. The hardtop features a main portion that is produced in FRP and is mated to a roof spoiler for a more elongated line. On the sides and rear of the top, there are ABS window frames that support real glass. If you are concerned with weight, there is an option to have the upper portion of the top and roof spoiler in carbon fiber.

Various flavors
For the topless Nouvelle Blue Pearl AP2, there is a 500hp turbo kit from Sheepey Race and Rywire radiator for power. The engine bay is flat out beautiful with a mix of polished parts and custom metal fab work throughout. Other Rywire parts come in the form of the brake line kit, clutch line kit, and harness in the reworked bay.

That carbon fiber ain't cheap
Of the three builds shown in this slideshow, the Valencia Red AP2 is wearing the GA-MU widebody kit and hardtop with the optional carbon fiber box checked. In addition to that, the car also has First Molding's carbon fiber Super Bonnet hood. In back is an aggressive Voltex Swan Neck GT wing with an Exceed x Mode Parfume trunk spoiler.

They are not cheap
The Berlina Black AP1 has been fitted with an HKS supercharger kit as well as the FRP variant hardtop and widebody kit. The F22C is held in place by HASport mounts with Rywire mil-spec engine harness upgrade. Additional performance comes from a Ballade Sports exhaust manifold and EVS test pipe.
