Rare Opportunity

When you think of "rare" Honda S2000 models, it typically begins and ends with the Club Racer. But over in the U.K., they got their own ultra-limited special edition in 2009 to mark the end of the car's production life. Dubbed the GT Edition 100, just 100 of these special cars were produced. And now, one of them is up for grabs over in the Pistonheads classifieds

Smart Buy

Even better, the asking price of just over $32k U.S. (£24,995) seems pretty darn reasonable. After all, low-mileage non-special edition S2000s are selling for $50k+ these days. And those cars were produced in much, much larger numbers than the GT Edition 100.

Individually Numbered

Of course, the GT Edition 100 isn't terribly different from a regular S2000. All 100 cars were finished in Grand Prix White, however, a color exclusive to this particular model. The GT Editions also came with an individually numbered kickplate, which on this car shows the number 92.

Twins

Along with the red leather interior, the other unique touch on the GT Edition 100 S2000 was its stain black badges on the front fenders. These touches, along with graphite-colored alloy wheels, were also shared with Europe's Ultimate Edition S2000.

Shining Example

Thus, if you're into rare S2000s and don't mind right-hand-drive, you can't really go wrong with this beauty. With just 29k miles showing on the odometer, it's certainly in fantastic shape as well. Both the exterior and interior appear to be in like-new condition with no real wear or defects present.

Potential Profit

Or, if you're just into flipping cars, you might have an opportunity here as well. We'd be willing to bet that in the current market if you wanted to go through the trouble of importing this particular machine, you could probably make a few bucks with no problem. Even if it isn't legal to drive here for a number of years.

Rare Sight

Sad as it still is to reflect on, this last of the S2000 breed is pretty cool to see, regardless. And with just around 74 GT Edition 100s still reportedly registered in the U.K., you can bet it'll be a while before we see another one!
