S2000 Custom Colors we Love and Hate
Pick the wrong one, however, and it can become a total disaster.
Love: Laguna Seca Blue
One thing you rarely see on modern performance cars are custom paint jobs. Mainly because, well, people usually wait until a car needs paint to paint it. But Honda S2000 owners are not your average car enthusiasts. Look no further than the many roadsters painted in custom hues out there as proof.
Obviously, painting a car a custom color is a big risk. Pull it off, and your car can really stand out from the crowd. Choose the wrong color, and you're setting yourself up for disaster. From what we've seen, however, most S2KI members have great taste. Just look at pawpaw504's ride, for example. Finished in Laguna Seca Blue, it's a real standout.
Hate: Uh, This
The problem with a lot of custom car builds is that people simply take things a little too far in an attempt to stand out. Take this S2000, for example. There's so much going on here that we just don't know where to start. But the crazy, overdone custom paint appears to be this car's biggest eyesore.

Love: Ferrari Grigio Silverstone
The art of subtlety isn't lost on OZS2KCA, however. If you aren't an S2000 expert, you'd probably never know that this gorgeous shade of Ferrari Grigio Silverstone wasn't a factory optioned color. But judging by how good it looks covering the Honda's flanks, maybe it should have been.

Hate: Canary Yellow
Yellow, perhaps more than any color other than pink, is truly a love/hate proposition when it comes to cars. Personally, we don't mind a bright yellow. But this particular shade conjures up bad memories of those nights when you have a little too much to drink. Heck, it makes us a little queasy just looking at it.

Love: Phantom Blue Pearl
That certainly isn't the case with kjayp2's dreamy looking Phantom Blue Pearl S2000, however. This stunning ride looks very different depending on how the light hits it. But no matter what angle you view it from or how overcast it might be, it's simply gorgeous to look at.

Hate: Plasti Dip Custom Paint Job
Plasti Dip is some pretty incredible stuff, giving you a cheap, easy, and non-permanent way to add some color to your ride. But some folks take things a step further and cover their entire cars in the stuff. While we're fans of the matte look, we aren't so sure about this red plasti dipped S2000. It just kind of looks like a rattle can spray job gone bad.

Love: Desert Sage Metallic
Oftentimes, folks look to other vehicle manufacturers for color ideas. And here in the S2KI forums, we've got at least a couple of Lexus Desert Sage Metallic Hondas running around. This one belongs to Itchigo, and it's easy to see why so many people love painting their S2000 this unique color. It's equal parts different and cool, after all.

Hate: Suki's Pink Honda
We're well aware that many of you worship the entire Fast & Furious franchise. And hey, we like them too. Even though they're not exactly realistic or well-written, that's not really the point with these movies. And quite a few Honda folks love Suki's pink S2000 from 2 Fast 2 Furious. We're glad that one of our beloved roadsters made it into the film, but did it have to be pink?
