This sweet build hails from Indonesia, surprisingly enough.

Award Worthy

By now, most S2000 fans are well aware of the model's global appeal, as we've seen more than a handful of these special roadsters pop up in places other than the U.S., Japan, and Europe in recent years. The latest example of this worldwide phenomenon comes to us from Indonesia, where this nicely modified, Spoon-heavy S2000 recently scored some prestigious awards at the 2022 BlackAuto Final Battle show.

Another One

This particular car won the coveted prize of Culture Car Champ at this recent event, representing another spectacular effort from a local builder name Jacky, who goes by the nickname "Car Picker." The most obvious modification present on the outside is the car's Spoon wide body kit, of course, which includes a hood, front and rear bumpers, and fenders from that iconic parts maker.

Quick Build

"Initially we were looking for or wanting to make a Honda S2000 project. Well, coincidentally, we got it and the color was yellow too, because this color is identical to Spoon, so we'll make a total," Jacky said. "The concept is already round and Spoon-style, I ordered it specifically to Spoon. And Spoon turned out to be giving me a gift, this is a set of roofs. Finally, I woke up this car until it was finished in just three and a half months."

Other Upgrades

The large dose of Spoon bodywork is perfectly complemented by a set of Volk Rays CE28 wheels, along with various other bits and pieces from Js Racing. Jacky didn't just settle for visual upgrades, however - he also fortified the car's stock powerplant with an array of performance enhancers as well, though he stopped short of listing those items for our perusal.

Simple Tribute

All Jacky will say is that his S2000 is a "capable car" in that regard, and judging by the heavily-modified engine bay, we don't doubt that one bit. Regardless, we can certainly appreciate this award-winning build for what it is - a simple tribute to one of the more famous names in Honda performance.
