Shortcut Purchase

Most car enthusiasts know that the cheapest way to own a modified car is to buy one that's already modified. But while purchasing a modded vehicle from a stranger is always a bit of a risk, the quality of rides in the S2Ki Marketplace is higher than the average, shady online classifieds site. Just take this turbocharged AP2 for example, which is currently up for sale.

Driven Sparingly

Despite being modified, this AP2 is also in great shape and has just 45k miles on the clock. The seller has driven it sparingly over their eight years of ownership, adding just around 300 miles per year during that timespan. The turbo was installed roughly 1,000 miles ago, which means that it's fairly new as well.

Solid Deal

On the outside, the AP2 has been debadged for a smoother look, but unfortunately doesn't come with the wheels pictured (or any wheels for that matter). Regardless, they spent around $15k upgrading the car and are also selling it with all the original parts listed, so the asking price of $26k seems like a pretty darn good deal.

Long List

The list of upgrades is long and starts with a Garrett GT3582R turbo, Sheepy manifold and downpipe, STM dump tubes, Tial 38mm wastegate, PTP turbo blanket, Mishimoto Stealth intercooler, ID 1300cc injectors, an Aeromotive 340 fuel pump, SOS fuel return setup, Fuelab regulator, and Hondata's four-bar map sensor, boost solenoid, and Flashpro.

Sounds the Part

With all of those goodies in place, the S2000 makes over 500 horsepower on pump 93 octane fuel with an IMV tune, and over 600 horsepower on E85. It also likely sounds pretty awesome thanks to an Invidia 60mm test pipe and Q300 dual exhaust, with a built-in cutout that automatically starts opening when there's 5 psi of boost.

Keeping Tabs

All of that power flows to the rear wheels via the original manual gearbox that's been fortified with a Competition Clutch Stage 5 clutch kit. Inside the cabin, the driver can keep tabs on things via an AEM digital boost gauge and air fuel gauge.

Big Savings

Add it all up, and this AP2 certainly looks like a seriously fun ride on paper. And even better, all of the work is done, which means that the new owner will save money and time on their way to living the boosted lifestyle. And to us, that's the best way to get behind the wheel of a modified S2000.
