All of the Above

As the S2000's F20C and F22C inline-four cylinder power plants continue to gain popularity, we're seeing more and more of them installed in other kinds of vehicles. We've certainly come across our fair share of cool, unique, and downright strange F20C swaps over the years, but this Ford Model A racer owned by Ricky Boada might just take the proverbial cake as it checks all the aforementioned categories.

F1 Inspired

One thing is for certain - if we ignore the fact that this vintage machine is powered by a Honda engine, it's still easily one of the coolest builds we've laid eyes on in a while. On the outside, the old Model A has been treated to a complete visual overhaul, complete with a Formula 1 inspired rear diffuser and wing.

Making It Work

Underneath that chopped and heavily modified steel body, however, lies a bit of JDM influence in the form of its S2000 heart, but it isn't the only component that Boada took from that particular sports car. In fact, he also snagged the transmission, rear subframe, and rear brakes from the modern drop top, then made it all work in the much older Ford.

Tons of Work

One things' for sure - the current iteration of this Model A is a far cry from where Boada started, which was with a total basket case of a build that needed a ton of work to not only to get it running and driving properly, but also to make it safe to drive on the roads.

Head Turner

That work certainly paid off in the end, as this wicked machine looks like nothing else on the road, and its turbocharged Honda heart emits sounds that people simply don't expect to hear from a vintage ride like this. Sitting mere inches from the ground with wild custom bodywork, it's also a true head turner in that regard.

Mission Accomplished

Massive tires help feed the car's over-the-top nature, but they also serve a pretty important purpose - keeping this vintage machine glued to the ground, even though it has much more in the way of power than it did all those years ago, when it was originally produced. Along with the S2000's suspension setup, those acres of rubber accomplish that missions with no problem, however.

One of a Kind

The results of Boada's vision are on clear display here, as this old Model A is unlike anything else out there on the road. After all, street rods are nothing new, but when was the last time you saw one with heavy F1 styling influence and Japanese power under the hood?
