Booked my first track day at Castle Combe on 28 June, a long way off I know but need the time to save for new tyres, discs and pads first, mine are all looking a little tired.

If anyone from here is going I'd really appreciate scrounging some tips off you on the day, I suspect I know very little!

How did the day go then?

It looks a nice track, but a bit close to the barriers in places!

It was brilliant, and absolutely terrifying too. Was very greasy in the morning, had one high speed spin out, before getting some much needed instruction. The car is immense on the track! Feels a little more nose-heavy than I'd like, but amazing fun nonetheless. Feels very pure compared to a lot of the forced-induction 4WD traction-controlled things out there! Even if I wasn't going around as fast as some of the others, I felt like I was driving a 'proper' car at least. Will get some photos up shortly.

...and yes... there is absolutely no run-off anywhere! Really no room for mistakes. Very very lucky that I spun off into the mid-field else it would've been curtains for my car.
