North West Section presents - S2000 Trackday - Sun 8th Sept *
Righty O, since drumming up a bit of interest in our last trackday, hopefully we can all go along and tear up Blyton as an S2000 group.
I have good relations with a trackday company (www.apextrackdays.co.uk) and the more we can get to confirm, the better the discount i'll be able to get.
In addition, anyone wishing to stay over the night before, we can sort something out with a nice B&B who thought I had ADHD and then tried to set me up with their daughter!
So initially the price is £119 which includes You, your car, another Driver, and a passenger.
I can promise you you will learn an awful lot about the car, have a massive laugh and come away feeling a driving God!
I know Blyton pretty well and know the S2000 very well so am happy to hop in with you and offer the odd pointer on what I think your car needs for your driving style or how best to use it on a certain section.
I'll leave this up till Friday 23rd Aug to get an idea of numbers. If we can get enough confirmations, i'll get you the prices of the discount
Ta!

I can't see why we can't allow other cars!
Robin/Tozer - how many total would you be looking at coming?
Lee, you'll be fine for this mate - I know it

Ron, just reading the info for Blyton on their website and it states:
For non-competitive events where the number of vehicles on the circuit exceeds ten, a drive-by noise monitor will be in operation, sited on the exit of Twickers corner at a distance of 20 metres, which will monitor noise at all times the circuit is in use. Any vehicle registering a reading of more than 95dB L[sub]AMax[/sub] will be taken off the circuit until such time that it can conform to this level.
This may be a stupid question but mine was reading 94db @ 6k stood still with a reader/monitor at the rear of the car when we did Oulton. Am I likely to be louder than that when the car is actually on the track, i.e. exceed the 95db limit?

Unless you are running manifold out, you'll be fine.
