Default UK Mod but a bit different...

I decided to go with 1.5" tubing. I went with a different approach, I wanted a more direct uninterrupted flow. Most of the UK Mods I've seen are too restricted with small tubing and straight 90 deg bends. Here's the progress so far:

I started off by grinding down the lip on the U bend.

Then we drilled a 1.5" hole straight down the exhaust.

Then simply cut out the hole for the tubing.

I always like the experimentation, looking forward to how you like the sound of it once it's up and running. It definitely will be louder as the center pipe of the oem exhaust is not perforated and you will be getting some good flow through that new pipe. Nice work and I like your motivation to try this out.

Thanks! The muffler actually is perforated. I'll take a pic of it on Monday when I work on it.

IDK just cut the mufflers off and put straight thru muffler or straight pipes seems like alot of hassle. Thoes heavy oem mufflers I'm not a fan of. Your not using muffler now so why have it? Seems like alot of work. I guess it will at least look stock except for the sound. Post a clip when your done. Good luck.

So will this mod still "lose power" like the UK mod? Interested to see how this sounds!
