Services to find/import used wheels from Japan
My unicorn wheel is CE28N in 17 x 9.5 +35. All vendors are out of stock and it will take a group buy of 10 sets for Rays to produce it. Since the likelihood of that is quite low, I'm wondering if I could find a used set in Japan and import them.
Do you know of any companies that can provide this service?

Check yahoo japan auctions. If you find a set on there you can use sites such as buyee, fromjapan, noppin, etc. to buy them for you(for a commission) and ship them out to the US.

^Yeah thats the best way. I just went through a nightmare with BIDJDM otherwise I would suggest them. They barely packaged a set of wheels I won on yahoojapan through them and fedex denied the claim and they are dragging their feet on the paypal claim.

To OP, I just went through this myself. Well known in the Nissan community is Jesse Streeter. Transaction was flawless. I can tell you that you're looking at $4-$500 for shipping and commission on top of the price of the wheels. However, most volks are quite a bit cheaper especially in the sizes our cars require. I paid about $1300 total for a set of 17x8.5/9.5 TE37s in great shape.
The process is pretty simple, find the item you want either on yaj or other, send him the link and what you're willing to bid or pay. He'll ask for a deposit and if you win the auction he will request funds once it shows up to him. Atleast thats how it worked for me.

also i've heard good things about www.gtr-garage.com
I bid on a few sets through them but didn't win. I guess they have access to a military base so they're able to ship them USPS and you're looking at maybe a week for delivery vs up to 2 months with jesse streeter. Let me know if I can give you any more info.

Update: I used GTR Garage to purchase 1.5 sets of wheels. The first half set is on the way from Japan and the auction for the second full set just ended. Will post updates as I get the shipments.
