Default My 4th S2000 in works "WHYBSHY"

Recently purchased 2002 S2000 AP1 from a member here on s2ki. This is my 4th S2000 ownership. After purchasing the car, I had Justin from "Rockstar Garage" deliver the car to the port. Very nice guy! Hit him up if you need any parts for your ride. After two weeks of waiting, it finally arrived! Yay! I did some major cleaning and installed my Forbidden USA OEM 2x2 double side carbon fiber hardtop. The car has 114K mi. with little modification and updates. It had AP2 front and rear bumper. Including matching AP2 tail lights and exhaust tips. Currently the suspension is sitting on Espiler ADS springs with AP2V1 wheels. The car also has after market MP3 stereo as well. Is not the best but player but it does play music. Sorry for the iPhone pictures. Ill use better camera next time. iPhone was convenient at the time.

The car had after market hornet alarm. I went ahead and removed all alarm components, since I really don't care for them. I rewired the door locks and the ignition wires. Reprogramed the new remote fob for the car.

I put about 30min into this engine bay. I think the outcome was great. I'm glad this was a productive day. It just needed TLC and a strong engine degreaser. In addition, I installed Password JDM cooling plate and intake cover. Let me know what you guys think.

While I was vacuuming the interior, I decided to remove the panel and install my hardtop catchers on both side. I removed my carbon fiber hardtop from NFR AP2 and installed it on my AP1. Let me know what you think.

I did a simple face lift on the stereo cover to AP2 Aluminum Cover.

I used a small screw driver to push the pins out on both side.

This is what's going in.

Installed on the car. I love it. Its the simple things that counts.

Nice! another s2000 on the island! I remember when my friend had me ship one from the bay area. There were probably less than 5 in 2003/4 on island.

Also what process do you use?

I've following other peoples DIY's for cleaning the engine bay, and mine never turns out as clean as yours.. and my bay was probably a cleaner slate to start with

I use Chemical Guys degreaser. It does wonders. You'll need to do the water and solution ratio properly in order it to work. using it straight will be okay depending on how dirty it is. I like to mix it with water so that is not too strong. This stuff really works.

I use chemical guys degreaser. Stuff works. Just need slim and wide paint brushes to work the area that needs some elbow grease. Best way is to warm up your engine. Not screaming hot, just enough to be hand touched. Once you spray the degreaser on a warm engine, you'll see all the dirt and gunk dripping to oil pan. Just take your time working on one area at a time. Good Luck.
