Default Deer strike

It a deer (or should I say it hit me?) last Saturday afternoon on Dooley Mountain Road just south of Baker City (one of my favorite roads, but that's a subject for another thread). Dean unscathed, car not too bad, deer probably in bad shape. It T-boned me at my left side A-piller, broke the windshield right in front of my face with its head, and left evidence of its attack all down the left side. Didn't affect the trip much, went on to the BUB Motorcycle Speed Trials on the Bonneville Salt Flats (AWESOME event!), replaced the windshield in Tooele Utah, and am now visiting friends in Red Lodge Montana. All in all a nice vacation.

Long story, I know, but now to the point: Who in the Portland area would you trust for body and paint work? A bit too big a job for our magic pointless dent remover guy I think. Does anybody have experience with Beaverton Honda's body shop? Any advice/opinion welcome. Thanks...

Dean

Wow Dean. That's terrible and I'm sorry to hear.
As always though, we're all glad that you're ok. (it's just a car after all).
Best of luck getting it repaired! Nice to hear that it didn't ruin the rest of your trip.

I've had a couple of close-call deer encounters like that, one of which would have been similar where a deer jumped up an embankment and almost t-boned me. It was really close and scared me half to death.

I had some work done at Lucky Auto Body on an Acura of mine. They did a great job at a fair price.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check them out.

Side note: Don't you just love the way Apple's spell checker helped me out? "I hit a deer" became "It a deer" and "paintless dent remover" became "pointless.." Sigh...

Dean... Always trust the fruit. Kidding. Glad you're safe. I've heard good things about Lucky Auto Body as well.

Glad to hear you are okay Dean! Sorry to hear that the car is bruised!

I know you are in the Beaverton area, so I won't suggest the shop I go to, because it is way out the way. But, I will warn you and anyone else to avoid Leif's. I had a very bad experience with them and will not use them again for anything.

Good luck on the repairs. Be curious to see the damage, any pictures?
