Default Subframe Rigid Collars

What is Rigid Collar?

One of the best explanation can be found in our video below

Can any one advise the code to make this embed? Tried the media button over and over!

The worldwide patent granted Rigid Collars are made from a specially formulated malleable alloy. They vary in size and shape depending on each application . Every application has been verified and extensively tested unlike many inferior alternatives. With over 1200 applications these can be considered for installation on many different cars.

The basic principle of the Rigid Collar is to eliminate the large tolerances manufactures use to speed up the production process.

The drawing below taken form the patent file shows a typical rigid collar in place. It is located between the chassis and the subframe and allows the high tension fixing bolt to be perfectly aligned. When the correct amount of torque has been applied to the bolt the specially formulated alloy will allow the collar to compensate for any imperfections in the mounting faces.

Installation of Rigid Collars Cure or Improve Vehicle Characteristics in the following ways:
 • Chassis Misalignment
 • Sub-frame Movement
 • Noise & Vibrations
 • Braking Control
 • Comfort & Ride Quality
 • Chassis Backlash (Flex)

A quick search of S2KI has revealed this interesting review from the USA Forum Link

Speed hunters have also reviewed the Rigid Collar installation on a Nissan GTR Speedhunters Link

Rigid Collar is a modification that should be considered for any car regardless of its performance credentials. Some of the most noticeable improvements have been when installed to daily drives. This is where most of us spend our time behind the wheel. Installation of the Rigid Collars will increase safety, improve your driving experience and make you an excellent lover (I made that last bit up).

As a little offer to the S2KI club we are giving 20% discount to the first couple of people to buy using this code INTROS2KI - input the code at checkout to get the discount.

It is also worth noting that some application require a front and rear kit, where this is required the website will automatically apply 10% discount. All orders will receive a Free Rigid Collar Lanyard while stocks last.

So what you're saying is that under normal driving condition the subframe moves around all the time as in slips/chaffs?

I've seen the chaffing on subframes where they move about (not on an "S")due to the bolt hole in the subframes being bigger than the bolts that hold it .

It was explained to me that having a 4 wheel alignment every 2 yrs (as I do) could well be negated by the subframes moving and that cars begin to feel "old"and less "sharp" because of this.

Having said that I've had collars fitted and have not noticed any difference whatsoever .

Not so much with the S2000, but on an FN2 for example then the answer is yes. On the FN2 the Honda solution to prevent what they have named as sub frame click is to grease the contact surfaces - and no it doesn't fix the problem.

I'd like to say thanks for the orders that have been placed taking advantage of the code. There are a couple of spaces left. We had one that didn't use the code? Maybe not from on here.

Please note that we have ran out of stock but expect the next delivery of 10 or more sets next week.
